The author's description of his time in Afghanistan made you feel like you were there. Well written, one soldier's insight into what it's like to be part of our military, voluntarily or not.
A beautiful essay with a profound point. Every American should read this. But don't think it's preachy or dry. It's personal and sweet and deep, and it truly reveals the soul of a real soldier, a real man and a real human.
I would love to hear more from this author!! This essay gives the reader an insight into a world we would not otherwise have access to. Nicely done.
